Went to get my hair re-styled, said that I wanted to keep the length, which was pretty long after growing it for a couple of years, and the hairdresser seemed to understand what I was saying, telling me she wouldn't cut on my shoulder to prevent my hair from 'flicking out'. When I put my glasses on to see how the haircut was going, I realised that my hair was now jaw-length - an extremely unflattering haircut for me with my face shape. She then proceeded to cut in extra layers around the front of my face - further accentuating how awful the haircut was for my face shape. At the end, I told her that it was shorter than I had expected, and she replied "Doesn't it look so much better?". No, it does not. I will not be going there again!
